JOB OVERVIEW:

As a Freelance Translator, Portuguese (Portugal), you will work directly with the Localization Manager and join a team of translators localizing Humu into 20+ languages.

Alongside the Portuguese (Portugal) translation lead, you will help maintain the voice and tone for Portuguese (Portugal) language at Humu.

We are looking for someone who is an expert in their language and is comfortable adapting the source text so that it feels natural in their language (transcreation encouraged!).


JOB DUTIES:

- Work with Humu's Portuguese (Portugal) translation lead, translate & edit Humu's content into Portuguese (Portugal)
- Help maintain our Portuguese (Portugal) glossary and style guide
- To start with, get through a backlog of ~15,000 source words and then ongoing translation and review work of ~5,000 words/month (average) into Portuguese (Portugal)
- Periodic Linguistic Quality Assurance of translated content in context,
- Fixing linguistic issues and reporting non-linguistic issues

PAY RATE: This is a contract role and pay is $0.10-0.12/word
